SCL Arbitration

As a panel arbitrator with the Society for Computers and Law (SCL), I provide fair, efficient, and technically informed resolution of disputes arising from the use, development, and implementation of technology. My practice brings together legal precision, procedural fairness, and a deep understanding of complex IT systems, ensuring that parties receive decisions grounded in both law and technical reality.
With a background that spans over two decades in international IT consulting and system delivery, I have led ERP and AI-driven projects across multiple jurisdictions. This experience enables me to analyse software contracts, implementation failures, cybersecurity concerns, and data-handling disputes with insight that goes beyond the surface of legal argument. I understand how technology operates in practice — and how to apply contractual and evidential principles to resolve the disputes it generates.
As a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb), I act under both institutional and ad hoc rules, delivering well-reasoned awards that reflect proportionality, procedural fairness, and commercial common sense. My arbitral work covers:

  • Technology and software implementation disputes
  • Data protection and cybersecurity issues
  • Intellectual property and domain name conflicts
  • Commercial and consumer contract matters
  • Construction and project-delivery disagreements involving digital systems

I approach each arbitration with clarity, impartiality, and respect for party autonomy, ensuring that the process remains transparent, structured, and cost-effective.

Through my association with the Society for Computers and Law, I contribute to advancing best practice in technology arbitration promoting consistency, efficiency, and innovation in the resolution of digital-era disputes.
