SCL Mediation

As a panel mediator with the Society for Computers and Law (SCL), I specialise in resolving disputes at the intersection of law and technology. My mediation practice combines legal precision with technical insight, enabling parties to achieve practical, cost-effective, and commercially sound outcomes in complex technology-related matters.
Drawing on over two decades of experience in international IT consultancy and system implementation, I bring a unique perspective to mediation. I understand both the legal frameworks and the technical realities that underpin modern disputes from software development and data security to intellectual property and AI-driven systems. This allows me to facilitate meaningful dialogue between legal and technical stakeholders, ensuring that the process remains accessible, structured, and focused on resolution.
As a CMC Registered Mediator and Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, I have mediated a wide range of civil, commercial, and technology disputes, as well as cases involving property, contracts, and professional negligence. I am also listed on the Civil Mediation Council’s Specialist SEND Register, reflecting my broader experience across sensitive and regulated dispute areas.
My approach to mediation is pragmatic and fair. I emphasise clarity of process, balanced communication, and a thorough understanding of each party’s interests. Whether appointed under institutional rules or directly by agreement, I aim to help parties reach settlements that are not only equitable but sustainable.

Through my role with the Society for Computers and Law, I continue to contribute to the advancement of technology dispute resolution in the UK promoting best practice, procedural fairness, and innovation within this evolving field.
